Jessica’s Journey to Her Dream Curls

Jessica grew up in the vibrant city of Austin, a place where creativity, diversity, and community shape everyday life. With a foundation rooted in biology, she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Biology and a certificate in Business.

“I initially thought my career would involve health care—maybe becoming a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant,” Jessica shares. “But once I realized I wasn’t quite ready to be hands-on with patients, I joined my family’s business ventures—Massage Envy, European Wax Center, and now VIO Med Spa. It was in this industry where I found my love for making people feel confident and healthy in their own skin.”

Jessica’s journey with her curls started back in 2021, when she decided to embark on a journey toward healthier, bouncier hair. Before Austin Curls, her curls were a source of frustration—crunchy, frizzy, and prone to build-up.

“I’ve embraced my curls since I was little, but styling and caring for them? That was a whole other story. Every salon visit left me with limp curls and a head full of product build-up. It wasn’t until I found Jasmin that everything changed.”
